Ford F-250 - 7th Gen (1980 to 1986)

The Ford F-250 was a variant of the Seventh Generation F-Series that was introduced for the 1980 model year. The F-250 was a pickup truck that was offered in regular or SuperCab (extended) cabins with a either a short or long Styleside bed. The standard engine for the F-250 was a 4.9L inline six, but various V8s were offered, ranging from 4.2L to 7.5L in displacement. In addition to the gasoline engines, a 6.9L diesel V8 was optional for the F250. These trucks had both manual and automatic transmissions available, with power transmitted through rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. Various trims were offered on the F250 during production, with notable examples being the Ranger, XLT, Ranger Lariat, and XLT Lariat. Production of the 7th Gen Ford F-250 lasted until 1986, when it was replaced by the 8th Gen Ford F-250.
