Ford F-150 - 7th Gen (1980 to 1986)

The Ford F-150 was a variant of the Seventh Generation F-Series that was introduced for the 1980 model year. The F-150 was a light duty pickup truck that was offered in regular or SuperCab (extended) cabins with a selection of truck beds. The fendered Flareside bed was only available as a short bed, whereas the sleeker Styleside was built in both short and long beds. The standard engine for the F-150 was a 4.9L inline six, but various V8s were offered, ranging from 4.2L to 5.8L in displacement. Both manual and automatic transmissions were available on the F-150, with power transmitted through rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. Various trims were offered on the F150 during production, with notable examples being the Ranger, XLT, Ranger Lariat, and XLT Lariat. Production of the 7th Gen Ford F-150 lasted until 1986, when it was replaced by the 8th Gen Ford F-150.
