The Ford F-100 was a variant of the 7th Gen F-Series that debuted for the 1980 model year. The F-100 was the smallest F-Series built for the 7th Gen, offered exclusively in a single cab pickup body style. These pickups were available with a fendered short bed (Flareside), or in a sleeker short or long bed (Styleside). Over the course of production, a selection of inline 6, V6, and V8 engine options were offered, ranging from 110hp to 150hp in power. These engines were paired to 3 and 4 speed manual and automatic transmissions. Unlike other F-Series variants, the F-100 was only built in rear wheel drive. Production of the 7th Gen F100 only lasted until 1983, when it was discontinued due to the popularity of the F-150.
