The Ford F-100 was introduced for the 1953 model year as part of the 2nd Gen F-Series. Previously known as the F-1, the F-100 was a 1/2-ton pickup truck that was available with a selection of engines. These engines ranged from a 215ci inline six to a 317ci V8, with both manual and automatic transmissions available. Both short, long, and stake truck beds were available for the F-100, which was built until 1956, when Ford introduced the 3rd Gen Ford F-100.
