Details
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 6.2L supercharged Chevrolet crate V8 (LT4) paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that routes power to the rear wheels. The car is refinished in gray with a black stripe. The interior is trimmed in brown leather, while the convertible top is covered with a black cloth. This highly modified example of a C3 sits on a Street Shop frame with C6 suspension all around dampened by QA1 shocks. A Wilwood master cylinder and Z06 Corvette brakes handle the stopping power. Additional modifications include Vossen wheels, custom bumpers, Vintage Air, custom center console and upholstery, VHX gauges, PCS paddle shifter, and electric parking brake. The odometer reads 2,041 miles on the engine swap, but the true mileage is unknown. The current owner is storing the car in Sugarland, Texas.
The third-party inspection performed found very few flaws in the vehicle, which is corroborated by the photos taken. Inside and out, the vehicle has a quality refurbishment. The video in the photo gallery displays a healthy running engine, and the inspection confirms a proper working drivetrain. This custom Corvette C3 comes with one set of keys.
This Corvette is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Sugarland, TX.
About the model
The third generation Chevrolet Corvette, also known as the C3, was a sports car that was produced from 1967 to 1982 by Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. C3 Corvettes were available in convertible and T-Top body styles only, with the T-Top having two removable rooftop panels (note that many T-Tops are described as 'coupe'). The C3 set new sales records, with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year. Production of the third-generation Corvette lasted until 1982 when the Fourth Generation Chevrolet Corvette (C4) debuted.
