The car retains it's original riveted ball joints, original idler arm, and remaining chassis components. The body retains it's original panels and wonderful detectable factory seams. The paint has minimal lacquer checking and excellent gloss. The interior retains it's original seat covers, carpets, dash pads, door panels, and dated seat belts. The car jumps right up on high idle in a cold start, and has a warm idle @850rpm. The clutch is smooth, the transmission up shifts and downshifts just as designed, and the rear diff is quiet. The car drives straight, is tight, and handles just as these cars were designed to. In all, this is a great example of a Corvette that has stood the test of time. Finding an L72 car with it's original drivetrain is not an easy feat. Furthermore, being able to validate a real L72 side pipe car is nothing to take for granted. A real find for a collector that covets originality, along with a color combination and option list that is difficult to find.
