What's your car worth? Track it in Garage now arrow_forward
I have owned this car since 1966 and drove it for about ten years. It was garaged until 2012 when it was given to an NCRS restorer in New Oxford, PA. The paint was stripped and body repaired including a new front end. What started as a "paint" job turned into a 7 year full frame off restoration. Here's whats been done;
Rebuilt engine, transmission, drive shaft and rear axle
• Rebuilt front suspension and steering
• Rebuilt rear suspension and springs
• Original chrome, refinished by Lebrandi
• New chrome on small pieces (gauge faces)
• Rebuilt fuel tank
• Rebuilt gauges
• Rebuilt fuel system and carburetors
• Door hinges rebuilt
• New upholstery and carpets and trunk mat, seat springs (Al Knoch).
• New exhaust system
• New wiring
• New 6-volt battery
• Re-cored radiator
• New rubber, all around
• Body totally restored
• Complete repaint of body, frame and interior
• Reproduction ignition shielding
• Hubcaps and spinners from GM production, early 1970's
• Handles, insignia, horn insert are original or from GM re-issue 1970's
• Windshield motor rebuilt
• Side curtains re-chromed and restored with original curtain bag
• Restored as a driver, original shocks replaced with new Bilstein’s (originals come with car)
• Radial wide white walls.
Car has old black top on tan frame. I wanted to replace with an original tan top but that was unavailable in original fabric. According to Al Knoch it is now available again, new owners responsibility.
Wonderbar radio is complete but needs restored.
