The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was a performance focused variant of the C7 Corvette that debuted for the 2015 model year. The C7 Z06 was offered in both a semi-convertible (often referred to as Coupe) and convertible body style, and was powered by a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine known as the LT4. This powerful engine had an output of 650hp which was sent to the rear wheels through a 7 speed rev-matching manual or 8 speed automatic transmission. In addition to the standard, or Base Model Z06, various special editions such as the Carbon 65 Edition, Hertz 100th Anniversary Edition, and C7.R Edition were also offered. Production of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 ended in 2019 prior to the introduction of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette.
