The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was a variant of the C7 Corvette that debuted for the 2014 model year. The Stingray, which was effectively the C7s base model, was offered in both semi-convertible (often referred to as coupe) or convertible body styles. These cars were powered by Chevrolet's 6.2L 'LT1' V8 engine, which had an output of 460hp. Drive from this mighty engine drove the rear wheels through a 6 speed automatic or rev-matching 7 speed manual transmission. Production of the C7 Corvette Stingray ended in 2019, before it was replaced by the C8 Corvette Stingray.
