The 327/360 Corvette was a variant of the C2 Chevrolet Corvette and debuted in 1963. The car was a two-seat coupe or convertible body style. The coupe was a one-year-only body style that featured a "split" back window. This particular variant of Corvette derives its name from the engine code and description. Engine code 'L84' designates a Rochester fuel injected (fueile) 327 cu in. (5.4L) small-block V8, which made 360hp. The L84 package was the most potent small-block engine Chevy offered during C2 production. Transmission choices were a three or four-speed manual and even a two-speed automatic. All 360hp are delivered to the rear independently suspended wheels.
