The BMW M3 was a performance focused variant of the G20 3 Series that debuted for the 2021 model year. Although based on the G20, this latest version of the M3 is known by the development code G80, due to the substantial changes necessary to help give the M3 its notable performance. The G80 M3 is available in a sedan (G80) or station wagon (G81) body style, and is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0L inline six engine that generates 473hp. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available, as is rear wheel drive or all wheel drive options. Also available is the Competition Package, which increases engine output to 503hp.
