The BMW 318Ti was a variant of the E46 BMW 3 Series that was introduced for the 2001 model year. These cars were part of the 3 Series Compact, which was a series of hatchback body styles with unique styling built on the E46 platform. The 318Ti was powered by BMW's N42 engine, which was a 141hp 2.0L inline four that sent power to the rear wheels through manual and automatic transmission options. Production of the E46 BMW 318Ti ended in 2004, when the model series was discontinued.
