The sixth generation of BMW 3 Series, the F30, was introduced for the 2012 model year. Due to the creation of the 4 Series, the F30 BMW 3 Series was only available as a sedan, station wagon, or four door fastback (Gran Turismo). The F30 3 Series was powered by a series of turbocharged engines, available as inline three, inline four, and inline six versions. Variants included the Activehybrid 3, 320i, 328i, 328i xDrive, 328d, 328d xDrive, 330i, 330i xDrive, 330e, 335i, 335i xDrive, 340i, 340i xDrive, and the top of the line variant, the M3. As was common for many 3 Series, the F30 was commonly converted into a Race Car. Built until 2019 (2020 for station wagons) the F30 3 Series was phased out by the seventh generation G20 3 Series starting in 2019.
