About the model

The Mini Coupe was a series of coupes based on the Mini Cooper that was introduced for the 2012 model year. The Coupe featured unique sleek styling and was offered in Cooper or Cooper S trim. The Mini Coupe was a short-lived model, with production ending in 2015. Also available to Mini enthusiasts was the Mini John Cooper Works, a high-performance variant of the Second Generation Mini Cooper. Previously, Mini had offered a John Cooper Works tuning package that was often installed by dealers, but starting in 2009, the John Cooper Works became its own factory-built variant. The JCW was based mainly on the Cooper S, but it featured a range of improvements such as new exhaust, brakes, suspension, and differential.
