This restored and customized 1950 Ford F1 pickup truck is powered by a Chevrolet V8 that sends power to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. The custom red paint features pinstriping and design in the style of Von Dutch. This truck was given a gray cloth interior and a matching custom-made center console with an armrest. The top was chopped 2.75 inches to give it a mean street look. As well the suspension was lowered, and a Mustang II front end and four-link coil over rear suspension were added along with power steering. Four-wheel disc brakes were added to increase driveability. The exterior of the truck was given several custom touches, including the front and rear bumpers and brake lights. In addition, this truck features modern amenities, such as Vintage Air, A/C, and a tilting steering wheel. A modern Alpine stereo system was also added, along with Dakota Digital dash gauges. More modifications can be found below. The truck is located in San Diego, California.
Third-party photos and inspection were performed in preparation for the sale of this vehicle. The photos show a clean and well-executed custom build. The exterior is in great condition, and the red paint is rich in color and doesnt show oxidization. The interior appears soft, and the cloth looks plush and without wear. The custom Budnik steering wheel matches the chrome wheels and digital gauges. The driver's door panel has been removed (the owner still has it) because of a crack in the window. The owner notes that the tires are in good condition. This hot rod comes with 2 keys.

About the model
The Ford F-1 was a 1/2-Ton, regular cab truck that was part of the 1948-1950 Ford F-Series. The body was redesigned to be larger and more accommodating for a broader range of customers and markets. While the F-1 was most familiar as a 6 1/2' pickup bed, multiple configurations were available, including a panel truck and a platform/stake. The interior grew by 7", providing greater headroom, foot space, visibility, and a sprung bench seat. Ford introduced telescopic double-acting shock absorbers to the pickup truck market instead of lever shocks to better absorb uneven terrain. An inline flathead six-cylinder and a flathead V8 mated to a three-speed manual transmission were available. Over 230,000 Ford F-1 trucks were sold during 1948-1950, and enthusiasts commonly modified them into a Custom vehicle. Ford restyled the F-1 truck in 1951.
