The sixth generation Volkswagen Golf was introduced in 2010. Known as the Mark 6 (Mk6), the updated Golf was offered as a three or five door hatchback, as well as a station wagon. Largely available with a variety of inline 4 engines, the Mk6 Golf featured the GTI and the Golf R as its most notable variants. The Mk6 was replaced by the Mk7 Golf.
