The Vauxhall VXR8 was introduced for the 2008 model year as a replacement for the Vauxhall Monaro. These performance cars boasted an LS2 V8 and, by 2009, an LS3 V8. Power was delivered through automatic or manual six-speed transmissions. Both engines produced well over 400hp. Oddly enough, the VXR8 was a four-door sedan, not a coupe as many would expect, with this much power to the rear wheels. Vauxhall turned up the heat again in 2013, producing the GTS variant of the VXR8. The car possessed a supercharged 6.2L LSA V8 engine producing 577hp. 2017 marked the end of the VXR8 as it was replaced by the Vauxhall Insignia.
