The Vauxhall 25hp, or D-Type as it was known, debuted in 1913. The car was built as the successor to the Vauxhall 27. Due to the timing of its release, many of the cars were used as military vehicles in WWI. The four-door vehicle was built as a touring car with a convertible roof or fixed top. It was also fitted with an inline four-cylinder engine producing 50hp and rear wheel-only brakes actuated by a hand lever. D-Type production ended in 1922 and was followed by the Vauxhall 23-60.
