As the successor to the Velox, the Cresta was a luxury model based on the Velox, offering customers a more posh experience. With the exception of a South African variant, all Crestas were given an inline six-cylinder engine. The Cresta was built in four generations across three decades. The E (1955-57), PA (1957-62), PB (1962-65), PC (1965-72), and the derivative of the PC, the Viscount (1966-72). 1972 was the end of the line for the Cresta model, but it was replaced by the Vauxhall Ventora.
