Toyota Hilux Surf - 3rd Gen (1995 to 2002)

The Hilux Surf N180 was introduced by Toyota in 1995 as the models 3rd Gen. It represented a significant evolution with a more modern, robust and aerodynamic SUV body. This generation incorporated independent front suspension and improvements in safety and comfort, without losing its off-road capability. It was available with gasoline engines such as the 2.7L 3RZ-FE and the 3.4L V6 5VZ-FE, as well as diesel engines such as the 3.0L 1KZ-TE turbodiesel and the 3.0L 1KD-FTV. Transmissions included 5-speed manuals and 4-speed automatics, with rear-wheel drive or selectable all-wheel drive. Trim options included the SSR (standard body), SSR-X (standard body with luxury equipment), SSR-V (wide body), and SSR-G (wide body with luxury equipment). Note that trim designations don't always guarantee specific equipment levels, as Toyota offered many factory options that could be added to any trim. The Hilux Surf N180 was produced until 2002.
