By 1922 STD motors had been formed, and the 8-18 was the beneficiary of the conglomeration. The Talbot 8-18 was essentially a 970cc Darracq motor car, Talbot's brother company, with the trappings of a Talbot. The 8-18 was designed as a small, lightweight car with a four-cylinder engine. The 8-18's production was halted in 1926.
