Not to be confused with the traditionally-sized Mitsubishi Pajero (known stateside as the Montero), the Mitsubishi Pajero Junior was a subcompact SUV produced for the Japanese market between model years 1996-1998. Based on the kei-class Minica, the Pajero Junior is sized a bit larger than the tax-dodging kei cars, and is powered by a 1.1-liter four cylinder producing 79hp. The Pajero Junior, despite the small size, is a credible offroader that can manage tighter trails than larger SUVs.
