The second generation of the Mini John Cooper Works GP was introduced for the 2013 model year. A high performance, special edition variant of the Second Generation Mini Cooper, the John Cooper Works GP features aggressive bodywork as well as improvements to the engine, suspension, and brakes. Alongside the uprated 215hp 1.6L turbocharged engine, weight saving measures such as removing the rear seats aid in giving the Works GP greater performance. Only 2000 examples of the Mini John Cooper Works GP were built for worldwide sale in 2013, giving the car great desirability. The rare Works GP is not to be confused with the more common Mini John Cooper Works.
