The Mercer Type 35 was a series of cars built by Mercer that first debuted in 1910. The Type 35, which was built in a variety of body styles, was powered by a 293 cubic inch inline four engine that developed 55hp. While a range of variations of the Type 35 were built, the most notable was the Type 35R "Raceabout" which featured a stripped down speedster body designed for high speeds. These cars were highly successful in a variety of racing events, leading to the Type 35 being a well known and desired brass era car.
