For the 2013 model year, Mercedes-Benz introduced the E63 AMG S 4MATIC, an upgraded performance focused variant of the W212 Sedan. The E63 AMG S 4MATIC sedan was fitted with the M157 5.5L twin turbo V8 with an output of 577hp. Power from the engine drove all four wheels via a 7 speed automatic transmission. A rear wheel drive version of the E63 AMG S 4MATIC was also available and was known as the W212 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S.
