The Mercedes-Benz E500 was a variant of the A207 Cabriolet that was introduced for the 2010 model year. The E 500 cabriolet, which was sold under the E550 name in North America, was initially powered by Mercedes' M273 KE55 engine, which was 383hp 5.5L V8. From the 2012 model year, Mercedes used their M278 DE46 LA Red engine, which was a 402hp twin-turbocharged 4.7L V8. Both engines were paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission that sent drive to the rear wheels. Production of the A207 Mercedes-Benz E500 ended in 2017.
