The Mercedes-Benz E220 (sold as the 220TE for 1993) was a variant of the S124 Wagon that debuted for the 1993 model year. The E220 was powered Mercedes' M111.960 engine, which was a 2.2L inline four that generated 150hp and 155 lb ft of torque. This power was sent to the rear wheels through a 5 speed manual or a 4 speed automatic transmission. For the 1994 model year, Mercedes changed their naming system, so the 220TE became the E220. Production of the S124 Mercedes-Benz E220 lasted until 1995 with a total of 22,057 examples built. Production of the S124 Mercedes-Benz E220 ended in 1996.
