The McLaren 620R is essentially a 570S GT4, however, McLaren claims it has been liberated from the rules of racing regulations. What they built free of restrictions was still a road car, but it may be hard to tell. Stiffer motor and transmission mounts hold the mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.8L V8 in place as it generates 611hp. Its seven-speed dual-clutch transmission ensures that the power gets to the rear wheels adequately. The quarter-million dollar price tag doesn't get you carpet, audio, air conditioning, or a navigation system, but it does give you a carbon-fiber monocoque and manually adjustable suspension to tune this track monster. McLaren only built 225 units of this unrestrained machine.
