The Mazda RX-8 Touring edition was sold from 2004 to 2012 and placed between the Sport and Grand Touring editions in Mazda's RX-8 lineup. The Touring package featured upgrades that were more mechanical than luxury-focused. Available in automatic and manual transmissions, the automatic customers received some features that were standard on a manual car, such as the limited-slip differential, sport suspension, and bigger brakes. Both vehicles received options like DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) and Xenon headlights in the Touring edition. Like all RX-8 models, the six-speed manual examples received more horsepower than the paddle-shifted automatic.
