The 2004 Mazda RX-8 Sport is one of the several variants of the Mazda RX-8 initially introduced as a package and later as a trim level. Like the other variants, the RX-8 has a front-mid rotary engine with rear-wheel drive. The Sport package features just a few options that were available with both a manual or automatic such as 18" wheels, sport-tuned suspension, monroof "delete", Xenon headlights and DSC (Dynamic Stability Control). Other features considered by Mazda to be part of the Sport variant come standard on a manual six-speed, making the Sport edition more for the customer with an automatic.
