The Matford automobile company was a combination of Mathis and Ford working jointly in France as the Matford company, beginning in 1934. During WWII, the company only produced trucks for the military, which continued even during the German occupation of France. Ford's relationship with the Mathis Company essentially ended during the war. Matford created Ford-based models before the war, such as the Alsace, 13CV, and 21CV.
