KTM 620 (1994 to 2001)

The KTM 620 is the legendary "bridge" that took the LC4 engine from a hardcore racing platform to a world-dominating street and adventure powerhouse. Displacing 609cc, this generation is most significant for launching the 1994 KTM 620 Duke, the company's first "stock" supermoto, which introduced the iconic orange branding and the aggressive Kiska design language that still defines the brand today. The series also gave birth to the 1997 620 Adventure, KTM's first true rally-replica for the public, which featured a massive fuel tank and twin "tripmasters," directly inspired by the bikes competing in the Paris-Dakar. Known for its raw, "hooligan" personality and high power-to-weight ratio, the 620 era remains the spiritual heart of KTM’s modern dual-sport and naked-bike dominance.
