The Ford GT Competition Series was a limited production variant of the 2nd Gen Ford GT. Introduced for the 2017 model year, the Competition Series a lightweight and focused version of the standard GT, that featured various weightsaving measures that included the removal of the AC, cupholders, and radio. The Competition Series was powered by an EcoBoost 3.5L V6 engine which featured twin-turbochargers, and had an output of 647hp and 550 lb ft of torque. Power from this engine was sent to the rear wheels via a 7 speed, dual clutch automatic transmission. Just 6 examples of the Ford GT Competition series were ever built.
