The Bugatti Veyron was introduced in 2005 for the 2006 model year. The first Bugatti model since the EB 110, and the first under the stewardship of Volkswagen, the Veyron was a mid engined hypercar that shifted the limits of what production cars could be capable of. The Veyron was the world's fastest production car when it was released, shattering numerous performance records. Numerous special edition Veyrons were created, such as the Sang Bleu and the Bleu Centenaire, yet the four main variants of the Veyron offered were the EB 16.4, Grand Sport, Super Sport, and Grand Sport Vitesse. The Bugatti Veyron was in production until 2015, with 450 total examples built.
