The 750iL was a variant of the E32 BMW 7 Series that was introduced for the 1987 model year. Built on the long 7 Series wheelbase, this series of sedans were powered by BMW's M70B50 engine. This 5.0L V12 unit generated 295hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via a 4 speed automatic transmission. BMW also offered the 750iL on its standard 7 Series wheelbase, with that variant being known as the 750i. Production of the E32 750iL ended in 1994, although the model series would continue life in the next generation 7 Series, as the E38 BMW 750iL.
