The Austin Champ was a family of compact military jeeps that were introduced in 1951. The Champ, which was known as the FV1801 when destined for military use, was created as a simple and light military transport. These 4x4s were built in various configurations, and featured a 2.8L inline four engine. Production of the Champ only lasted until 1956 due to the popularity and success of the Land Rover.
