The Alfa Romeo 145 was a family-touring car launched in 1994 and produced between 1995 and 2001. It replaced the Alfa Romeo 33 and was initially available only as a two-door hatchback until mid-1995 when a four-door version -the 146- was released. Initially, it was fitted with three different 4-cylinder boxer engine variants (1.3, 1.6, and 1.7 liters) and a 1.9-liter diesel. In 1997, these boxer engines were replaced with four-cylinder inline engines in 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0-liter displacements. Although during 1995 it was only offered in standard (base) and Lusso (L) trims, the Quadrifoglio and ti trims were introduced later on, which featured several mechanical and chassis improvements over the standard and L variants.
