About the model

The Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Edition was a special offering that was only available for the 2013 model year as part of the 5th Gen Camaro. The Chevrolet Camaro was out selling Mustang and Challenger consistently from its introduction in 2009 to 2012, so to keep the momentum going for 2013, they decided to team up with Hot Wheels and put together a dream car with adults in mind. The 2013 Camaro Hot Wheels Edition is identified by the Kinetic Blue Metallic paint, Black ZL-1 style grill, special spoilers with ground effects, and each car wears Hot Wheels emblems on the grill, fenders, and rear deck lid. A $6995 option that could be ordered with the coupe or convertible with the 2LT V6 or the 6.2L SS, and was available with either the automatic or manual transmission. The embroidered Hot Wheels flame logo is also stitched onto the seats, and the cars came with 5-spoke wheels with throwback red lined rims for nostalgia. The Hot Wheels package did not affect performance numbers and was a limited production run of 1524 cars total, including some 2013 Indy 500 Pace Cars.
