Callaway Corvette SC606 Grand Sport 6 Speed Convertible
2011 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport convertible was purchased new at Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and was modified by Callaway Cars of Old Lyme, Connecticut, with the company’s SC606 Package. The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was fitted with a TVS2300 Chrome supercharger, an intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors, a Honker intake system, and a Callaway Double-D exhaust system. Exhaust slats and a short-throw shifter were also optioned and the car is finished in Supersonic Blue Metallic Tintcoat over Titanium Gray leather upholstery.
Additional features include a six-speed manual transaxle, a limited-slip differential, xenon headlights, five-spoke chrome upgraded alloy wheels, power-adjustable seats, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control. This SC606 is offered with a Callaway build sheet and Certificate of Authenticity.
The Grand Sport features wider fenders along with additional brake cooling ducts ahead of the rear wheels and features a power-retractable black soft top, an exposed carbon-fiber hood bulge, xenon headlights, fog lights, hash mark fender stripes, Callaway and Grand Sport badging, and a stainless-steel Callaway “Double-D” exhaust system with optional exhaust slats.
Staggered-diameter 18″ and 19″ five-spoke chrome alloy wheels are mounted with NEW Goodyear Eagle F1, 275/35 up front and 325/30 out back. Braking is handled by six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over ventilated rotors sized 14″ and 13.4″, respectively. The Grand Sport features specific stabilizer bars and stiffer springs and shock absorbers when compared with the standard Corvette.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in Steel and Titanium Gray inserts. Interior amenities include a head-up display, side airbags, Keyless Access, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control, GPS navigation, Glass rear window automatic power convertible top.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 38k miles.
