About the model
The manual-equipped, cabriolet version of the 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo was introduced for the 2007 model year. These high-performance sports cars were powered by a 480 hp rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six engine that sent drive to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. To control the power from the engine, the 997.1 Turbo featured Porsche Traction Management as well as Porsche Stability Management, making sure that less-skilled drivers would be able to enjoy the sporting potential of these cars. An optional Sport Chrono package was offered, which allowed for a temporary increase in boost for up to 10 seconds from the turbos thus giving a temporary increase in torque. Production of the 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet ended in 2009.
