2003 London Taxi International (LTI) – Classic Black London Cab
This is a genuine London Taxi, originally built by London Taxis International (LTI) in the UK. LTI, founded in 1919 as Carbodies, specialized in manufacturing taxi cabs. In 2012, the company ceased production and filed for bankruptcy before being acquired by Geely in 2013.
Overview
This is an Estate Sale. This 2003 LTI TXII has been converted to left-hand drive, making it practical for American roads. It runs on diesel and is ready to hit the streets in style. Whether you're looking for a unique daily driver, a fun business opportunity, or just a spacious ride, this taxi delivers. It also has new brakes, a new battery, and a new alternator for added reliability.
The title recorded 111,700 miles on 3/6/2015, but the odometer now reads 1,638 miles (and assume that is 201,668), but can’t confirm as owner did not drive this vehicle much as it was purchased for collection.
Exterior
The classic black paint gives this cab an iconic look. Designed for function, it has a simple, no-frills design with minimal chrome, aside from the well-maintained front grille. Large rear doors make passenger entry easy, and a built-in wheelchair ramp adds accessibility. A "LONDON" light on the roof signals when the taxi is in service.
Interior
The driver’s seat is a comfortable gray leather bucket, with a burl wood-style dash and center console. There's no front passenger seat, allowing extra space for luggage or cargo. The rear is outfitted with a spacious bench seat and two fold-down jump seats, all in a gray leather and cloth mix.
