According to Autotrader, "The 100 finally saw the change from mostly luxurious to a full-on luxury SUV". In the US, where the model designation was the UZJ100, it dropped the 6-cylinder 4.5L 1FZ-FE in favor of the 4.7-liter 2UZ-FE V8, and it added a long list of upscale features that only grew as the years went on. In the UK, it was known as the Land Cruiser Amazon. Other markets continued to offer the 1FZ and diesel options as well. For model year 2008, the 100 Series was replaced by the 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser.
