Finding a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with this low mileage is like finding a needle in a haystack. Search for “50k original miles” and see what comes up—zero. I’m selling it to help upgrade my wife’s other car so she can get something a little fancier. I’ll definitely miss this Jeep, but it’s just been sitting in the garage. This vintage Grand Cherokee features the V8 engine, Quadra-Trac full-time 4WD system, and the factory tow package. It’s in fantastic condition, as you can see from the pictures. The interior looks nearly brand new. I bought it from a mechanical engineer who was meticulous with maintenance. He replaced or serviced:
Transmission fluid
Front and rear differential oil
Transfer case fluid
Shocks, rotors, and pads
Front wheel bearings
Toyo tires (new)
Spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap
Water pump and hoses
Rear wiper motor
Weather stripping
...among other things.
It’s truly a fantastic vehicle—simple, reliable, and easy to work on. It drives like a dream and takes you right back to simpler times. There just aren’t many (if any) like this left in the country.
