A pride-of-ownership “first Ferrari” for the buyer looking for a reasonably-priced, three pedal, 6-speed, user-friendly, well-documented, high-revving Ferrari.

Only a few months later, in Sept. of 2021 355 Spider s/n 1088800 was further serviced by Blue Chip Services, Englewood, CO. The work included a sublet powder coat of the engine heat shields plus a clear to the front bumper, the hood and the headlamps. The total invoice was $3,117.25. Two months later, in Nov., of 2021, 355 Spider s/n 108800 was again serviced by Blue Chip Services, Englewood, CO. The temp thermostat switch was replaced. The total invoice was $893.96 at 17,515 miles.
Introduced as a Berlinetta in 1994 and a Spider in 1995, the F355’s Pininfarina-penned lines were honed by 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel. As the first quad-cam, five-valve Ferrari, the F355 broke with Ferrari’s traditional numbering system (308 = 3.0 liters + 8 cyl) but instead stood for 3.5 liters and 5 valves. Power jumped to 375 horsepower at an impressive 8,500 rpm, thanks to sophisticated mechanicals such as titanium connecting rods, an 11:1 compression ratio, a Bosch Motronic M5.2 engine management system and a dry-sump oiling system. Power is put to the ground through a good set of 235 X 40 ZR X 18 front and 275 X 35 ZR X 18 rear MIchelin Pilot Supersport tires mounted on scuff and damage free 18″ wheels. The F355 is seriously fast, sprinting from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and hitting a top speed of 185 mph! Power steering makes low-speed driving effortless, and the power top makes top-down motoring easy.
F355 Spider s/n 108800 starts instantly, pulls impressively and stops in a confidence-inspiring way. The suspension is tight and compliant as one would expect of a well-documented, low mileage, fully-serviced Ferrari. The engine and engine bay have been cleaned and detailed, the floor pan and undercarriage are clean and dry with no significant road rash on the aerodynamic floor pan or suspension components. There is no evidence of structural damage or repair. The light alloy engine and suspension castings show very well. Does not have the usual “sticky switch” problems. The extensive service work including a recent engine-out service and clear and the overall condition shows that 355 s/n 108800 has been well maintained and cared for by her previous owners. Has only 2,657 miles since the $33,929.01 engine-out service! Unlike many 355 spiders, the power top works smoothly and as it should! As the first of the modern-era Montezemolo inspired high revving V8 Ferraris, F355 Spider s/n 108800 is a very user-friendly, low-mileage (18,996 miles), pride of ownership, 6-speed, Ferrari.
