We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our customers, this very nice, low mile 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet.
For many years, 2shores has been offering selected first grade examples of collectible automobiles. This outstanding 993 Cabriolet is one of those rare offerings!
The Porsche 993 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between January 1994 and early 1998 (model years 1995–1998 in the United States), replacing the 964. Its discontinuation marked the end of all air-cooled 911 models.
The 993 was much improved over and quite different from its predecessor. According to Porsche, every part of the car was designed from the ground up, including the engine and only 20% of its parts were carried over from the previous generation. Porsche refers to the 993 as “a significant advance, not just from a technical, but also a visual perspective.
The 993 was the first generation of the 911 to have a six-speed manual transmission included as standard; its predecessors had four- or five-speed transmissions.
Our car on offer is a very nicely kept and all original 1995 Cabriolet example finished in the desirable and iconic Porsche color of Slate Grey (L23-F) with nicely accented light grey leather interior and a grey Convertible top. The car was sold new on October 1st 1995 at Ed Carroll Porsche in Fort Collins, CO and found its way to California in the early 2000’s. The current and third owner bought the car 15 years ago and has only used it for pleasure weekend drives. Current mileage shows only 55,238 making this almost 30 year old Porsche a very rare find.
The car is in remarkably good condition, visually and mechanically excellent. The body is laser straight and has perfect panel fit and gaps all around. Being in the dry climates of Colorado and California, the car has zero corrosion issues. Front hood and some areas have been touched up because of chipping and a paint protection film has been applied on to the front fascia and part of the hood.
The grey leather interior is in fantastic condition with no visible rips or tears and only the very slightest patina on the drive side bolster. The dash, door-panels and carpets are in great condition and all instruments and control work as intended. The soft top shows some areas of wear on the typical pressure points, but is overall still in very good condition.
This 993 has been fitted with cruise control, limited slip and 8 way power seats both sides. The factory applied options sticker is still under the front hood.
Recently serviced with fresh oil, new power steering fluid reservoir, front brakes (rotors and pads) and rear shock absorbers (Bilstein), this Cabriolet is ready to be enjoyed immediately.
The car runs and drives excellent and offers a unique open motoring experience in the most defined air-cooled generation.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire an air-cooled 993 in fantastic condition. The 993 Cabriolets are the most affordable of the 993 series and prices will only go up. California car in a truly stunning color combination with very low miles, it does not get much better!
