$11,000 OBO, This 5th generation VX hatchback 32-year-old time capsule car was purchased form the original California owner, it is all original except for the blue tooth stereo. This car has the original VETEC-E engine 4-cyl. 1493cc/92hp MPFI with a 5-speed transmission. The 13-inch wheels are the original factory installed alloy rims that came on the VX from the factory with the tires are the same size as the originals with good tread on them.
The asking price is negotiable but is set high enough to ensure communication and possible sale to a serious buyer who understands the market for the Honda Civic VX model in its original condition. The car is a collector automobile piece, daily driver, or modifiable to a ???. Its rarity comes from the small number produced (about 12,000) for the US and Canadian car markets between 1992 and 1995.
I purchased it for a family member…long story-short…it’s for sale. I had my repair shop go through the car and repair all mechanical issues. Break flush and service, AC service, and gauge cluster rebuild. I replaced the side mirrors, rear lights, front turn signal lenses, and black exterior trim. The original owner repainted the car to original paint code 2 years ago (car is covered when parked). I machined cleaned the interior and replaced the carpeted fitted floor mats. The clutch and catalytic converter are new, and I have all the maintenance records going back approximately 20 years. It is a fuel efficient capable little car used as a daily driver in southern California.
Historically the first car in America to earn a 55-highway mpg rating. The 92 Civic VX was the first car to achieve a 55-mpg average and still have excellent acceleration and handling.
