What's your car worth? Track it in Garage now arrow_forward
After getting so many people saying "how much?!?" on the road all the time I finally decided to let my baby go and lower than anyone else from what I can see. Why? First I have LIGHTLY smoked in it but you can't tell. Second, Lake Havasu is too small a city for mechanics who know how to work on classics. Third, the specific car was owned by a Army General and a 5 star mason grill insert to that effect (not sure if it's the same guy) and has the identification still on it and in the original owners book and I simply cannot have someone now appreciate this car has always been owned by men who know how to care for things.
This vehicle has no rust and is all original. Starts up and runs like it just rolled off the assembly line. Every time something even made me feel it needed a tweak here and there I would take it to a mechanic who used to work for Cadillac back in the day and knew this year, make and model intimately. He knew how much I love this car and he loved it too!
The only things I know of at this time that would be an issue is:
- It needs a new antenna. The radio works great if it had one but it recently wont tune in without the antenna.
- The drivers door rest has a cut in it but I put filler in and colored it to match but you know its there.
- The passenger side window is slow. It works but it goes up slower than the drivers side.
The pluses to this car is really almost endless!
+ Rides, or should I say GLIDES, down the road. You add more people in this and it even glides more.
+ The famous original paint job is stunning (and when you drive you can experience that almost reflective long hood - super cool)
+ No weird noises or sounds. When the windows are up it is very quiet.
+ RARE on this one ...the opera lights outside WORK! Both sides! Stunning at night-time. Kind of a feeling of pride on that for me as they rarely work on others.
+ Tires are in great shape.
+ All the inside functions work! Even the A/C (which when I purchased it the prior owner said it did and it didn't so I had to get a new compressor for it and now it works great).
+ The hubcaps are original with the caddy logo in the middle.
+ The velour material seats is in near mint condition. Seriously rare there.
+ Has the original cup holder that still works like new
.... and here is the BIG last two:
++ I have the ORIGINAL owners manual with all the inserts
++ I have the gold plated original keys!
I am proud of the fact that everyone from teenagers to people like me...the grandpas... are "thumbs up" when they stop next to me at a stop light. The model is without generations. It is what classics are meant to be.... admired for their design.
This car when detailed is showroom clean and there is nothing for you to repair! Please don't buy it to part it out because original parts is hard to find. You can still get parts for it but please Drive it... show it off... have people want to take pictures next to it (that happens a lot trust me) and have pride that you appreciate what it was like when CARS were REAL AUTOMOBILES!
