About the Model
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer was a variant of the Jeep Wagoneer produced between 1984 and 1991 as a replacement to the Wagoneer Limited. The Grand Wagoneer was built in a four-door body style, identifiable by its wood-grain paneling and set the standard for SUVs in the '80s. The Grand Wagoneer evolved under AMC and then Chrysler ownership and was powered by a choice of six or eight-cylinder engines through 1986 when the powerful 5.9L V8 was the exclusive powerplant option. Power was sent to all four wheels via a part-time Selec-Trac 2WD/4WD shift-on-the-fly system. The desirable Final Edition Grand Wagoneer option was only available in 1991, the final year of production.
