1986 Nissan 300ZX Turbo with only 9k miles! I spent months making an already incredible example even better and am pretty proud of the end result.
Regarding the back story on this one, prior to my acquiring the car it was a one owner example, bought new by an ex Ford executive in Michigan. While the fact it’s a 9k mile Turbo with a 5 speed is cool, the handwritten mileage log is beyond cool!
As I had no real service records and the car was sitting since 2023, I thought it was best to fully sort it and go nuts. I spent a solid month, hunting for OEM Nissan parts and shipping them in from everywhere. I replaced the clutch cylinder, brake fluid, a new battery, oil change/filter, hood struts, drained the tank and cleaned the FI system, replaced the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, distributor, cam and engine seals, clutch cylinder and did a trans fluid service. I then replaced all 4 tires with Yokohama Advans but kept the originals. They are all date coded 85 and are shown in the gallery. When I was done servicing it, I Dryiced the undercarriage in a quest to make this car as new as can be. Leading Edge in PA worked their magic and I was pleased when they were done. It didn’t need much but I wanted to bring it up to a higher level.
In the gallery, you’ll find everything you need to pull the trigger on this one. photos, a copy of the window sticker, a hand written mileage log, the original tires, photos of all the parts used during the servicing, paint meter readings and a nice video. I’d have to imagine this is one of, if not the best example left anywhere. No prior paintwork, clean Carfax/AutoCheck and as real as I think they come!
