This 1986 Land Rover 90 Pickup was fully restored by Warren Defender in Houston, TX in 2023. It's powered by a replacement 300tdi Land Rover diesel inline-four cylinder engine powering all four wheels through a new 5-speed manual gearbox and dual range transfer case. The exterior was stripped and repainted red with contrasting black diamond plating and new black interior seating from Exmoor Trim in the UK. Existing light guards were blasted and powder-coated along with the diamond plate trim. A new front bumper, grille, and light guards were installed to match the rear. Modifications include a Safari snorkel, which was resealed and connected to a new air intake system at the time of the restoration, LED lights, and removable side and rear windows and hardtop. The truck currently shows 113,073 miles on the original odometer but the true mileage is unknown. Work was performed in Houston and the truck is currently located in Oklahoma City.
The third-party inspection and photos attest to the high quality of restoration and condition of this Land Rover. Care was taken to strip the body and chassis, repair any spots that required it, and repaint the vehicle and coat the chassis. The paint is in new condition and without scratches. The interior also reflects the high quality of materials and craftsmanship that went into the restoration. There is no wear on the new carpet or seats, and the new bulkhead housing updated instrumentation looks and operates as it should. Mechanically, the truck received a full replacement setup from the engine and drivetrain to switches, hoses, and belts. A road test during the inspection confirmed that all features were in working order and operated as designed. Included in the sale are two keys, documentation, a replacement steering wheel, and both top setups.
This Defender 90 is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Oklahoma City, OK.

About the model
The Land Rover Ninety Hard Top or Basic was the utility version of the three-door, short-wheelbase version of the Ninety/OneTen. Offered as the utilitarian alternative to the Ninety Station Wagon, it was commonly offered with solid panel-van side panels instead of windows, although it was eventually offered with windows as an option. Despite apparently being very similar to the previously mentioned Ninety Station Wagon, the Ninety Hardtop was offered as a completely basic utility vehicle with a myriad of options to choose from and customize to each owner's needs.
